Collagen deposition and biomineralization in regenerating zebrafish bones
Zebrafish regenerate their bones extremely efficiently. We are investigating how this process works at the cellular and molecular level by looking at matrix deposition with different molecular and materials science techniques. The aim is to decipher the organic and biomineral composition of the deposited matrix, and to understand which cells contribute to it.
