Privacy Policy for Social Media Presences (Instagram & LinkedIn)

DIGS-ILS maintains official presences on the social media platforms Instagram and LinkedIn to communicate with interested parties, provide information about our activities, and engage with the public. In accordance with Article 26 GDPR, we act as joint controllers together with the respective platform operators for the processing of personal data on our social media pages.

When you visit or interact with our social media pages, the following categories of personal data may be processed:

4. Joint Controllership and Allocation of Responsibilities

DIGS-ILS and the respective platform operators are jointly responsible for certain processing activities (e.g., page insights). The main aspects of joint controllership are governed by agreements with Meta Platforms Ireland Ltd. and LinkedIn Ireland Unlimited Company.
You may exercise your data subject rights (see below) with both DIGS-ILS and the platform operator.

5. Data Transfers to Third Countries

Personal data may be transferred by the platform operators to recipients in third countries, including the USA. Where the recipient is certified under the EU-U.S. Data Privacy Framework, an adequate level of data protection is ensured. 6. Retention Periods

Personal data is retained only as long as necessary for the purposes stated or until you request deletion, subject to statutory retention obligations.
