Prof. Ilona Croy: Mental Health and Awareness Program – Seminar
Science is exciting, challenging, and sometimes stressful, even more in the current times due to the COVID pandemic. Therefore we want to launch a new program to promote well-being in a demanding and competitive research environment. With this program, we are targeting group leaders, PhD program administration, and
PhD students to provide them strategies to cope with stress and to recognize and handle crises.
All courses will be taught by Prof. Ilona Croy. Since June 2021 she has been Professor for Clinical Psychology at the Institute for Psychology of the Friedrich-Schiller-Universität Jena. Up to this time, she worked in Dresden at the University Clinics as psychotherapist. She was responsible for the burnout ambulance at the Clinic for Psychotherapy and Psychosomatics and headed the respective research department. In 2017 she was awarded the prize for Excellence in Doctoral Supervision by the TUD Graduate Academy.
This 6-hour seminar is based on the overview lecture on 3 March. It is open for up to 12 predocs and will enable them to act as first peer contact persons for others. Thereby, they exchange with each other about their experiences and practice communication techniques.
We encourage everyone to attend the program. Please register by sending an e-mail to Arantxa.
